(Personal review)
This morning, I got back into the kitchen and whipped up another easy plant-based recipe. This one is another breakfast dish that I’m sure you’ll enjoy. Today’s review is for the Breakfast Bake and is the epitome of breakfast comfort food. Honestly, I wanted to eat the whole thing by myself. Doesn’t this just look so good?
There are eleven ingredients in this recipe and I wouldn’t change any of them. This is really a delicious recipe as is. The plant-based “meat” is your choice of either tempeh or soy sausage. I did an Italian sausage version and loved it.
There is a two step cooking process, but definitely necessary to thoroughly cook this dish.
Overall, I really enjoyed this Breakfast Bake and will make it again. I can easily see this recipe being on regular rotation around the house. I will say this, my youngest son is NOT a fan of the odour of vegan cheese, so if you find yourself in the same boat, you can omit the plant-based cheese. I would probably keep a bottle of ketchup close by though.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read today’s review from Kim Barnouin’s Ultimate Everyday Cookbook.
